Move Firefox 4 Button to Anywhere You Like

Posted in Browser on 2011

Firefox button in Firefox 4 houses all the hidden menu items which were left visible in the previous versions. If you like the minimalistic view resulted from the changes, then you’ll also probably like the idea of resizing and moving the button. If you can move Firefox button, let’s say, next to the address bar, the tab bar will have extra space to handle more tabs.

Movable Firefox Button is the Firefox add-on that lets you move the orange button to nearly anywhere you like. Where do you want to move it? To the left or right side of the address bar, the right side of the tab bar or even to the add-on bar? It’s your call. More »

Firefox 4 Final Official Download

Posted in Browser on 2011

Firefox 4 final finally has been released by Mozilla after releasing around 12 betas and two RC builds. During the nine months since the first beta release, Firefox 4 has gone through a lot of changes.

The newly redesigned user interface is perhaps the most notable change that users can instantly see from Firefox 4. The menu bar has been removed, replaced by the new Firefox button at the top of the browser, and the tab bar has been moved above the Firefox address bar. The status bar has now been hidden as well. Resize Firefox Button and Make It Transparent with Iconix Firefox Menu

Posted in Browser on 2011

Iconix Firefox Menu does two things for the Firefox button. It shrinks the size so that you have more free space on the bar, and it also makes the icon transparent.

A few more free space can be gained if the developer removes the arrow from the icon as well.

It works well on the current version of Firefox 4.

Install Iconix Firefox Menu from the Firefox extension site.

Cool Wood Theme for Firefox: Wallnut for Firefox

Posted in Browser, Desktop Enhancement on 2011

Need to change the look of your standard Firefox theme? Try Wallnut for Firefox. It gives a wooden look and feel to all parts of your theme including the windows, widgets, panels, firefox button and even the add-ons panel.

Personally, I like this theme so much, but I definitely won’t recommend it to users who have poor eyesight as the text is rather hard to read, especially when you access your bookmark list on the bookmark bar.

However, for you who don’t mind with the text, this theme is obviously a must have one.

Download and install Wallnut for Firefox.
