Disable Firefox 4 Tab Preview in Windows 7 Taskbar | Firefox 4 Aero Peek
By making use of Aero Peek feature in Windows 7, Firefox 4 allows users to see preview for each tab by hovering mouse over the browser’s button on the taskbar. Personally, I don’t think that it is effective for users that are used to open many tabs at once. If you prefer to disable the tab preview feature in Firefox 4, then here it is.
How to disable Firefox 4 taskbar tab preview in Windows 7:
- Launch Firefox 4, type about:config in the address bar and hit Enter to open it.
- In the Filter tab, type browser.taskbar.previews to instantly display the entry.
- Double-click the “browser.taskbar.previews.enable” to change the value to “false”. If you want to re-enable the tab preview, change it back to “true”.

Firefox 4 tab preview feature will be disabled immediately without having to restart the browser.
